History remembers emperors… but plagues remember no one.

In Dying Reign, you are the last force stopping your empire's collapse. Govern through chaos, adapt to evolving threats, and hold your people together as history’s deadliest pandemics unfold.

Minimalist Management

Dying Reign is a minimalist strategy game where a handful of nodes represent your empire and its people.

Manage Your Empire

Keep your empire from collapsing by balancing your empire's stats. Every decision affects your empire differently, and managing these interconnected systems is the key to survival.

• Economy

• Stability

• Morale

• Spread Rate

• Power

• Regional Allegiance

Dynamic Events

Face over a dozen events: an economic boom, banditry, cultural revivals, scandals, natural disasters, and more. Every event shifts the balance of power, morale, economy, and stability. These aren’t just random, they react to your empire’s current state and force you to adapt.

Maps Across Time

Lead empires through distinct eras of crisis:

• Athens, 429 BCE

• Byzantine Empire, 529

• Holy Roman Empire, 1347

• Roman Empire, 248

• Qing Dynasty, 1854

• England, 1485

• United States of America, 1918

Unlock Advisors

Unlock key figures to help you govern. Advisors stay hidden until earned through gameplay, and each one adds unique benefits.
