Introduction

After months of travel across windswept plains, mossy forests, and barren mountains the ancient city appears far on the horizon, its broken towers rising from the haze. On a steep pass you see the cursed land below, its features moving and winding like giant snakes beneath the fog. The fisherman told tales of those who vanished in the Barrier and of the horrible visions it gave. At dawn you set out across a placid lake, in search for the hidden entrance to the Barrier.

Features

• Turn-Based Heart Beat: This is a tense, turn-based experience where one rash step can invite disaster. Survey each situation carefully and wait for the right moment. When you health points reach zero, the game is over.

• A New Adventure: Each run starts at one of over 1,500 locations in the world. Find your way along a winding, unpredictable path through forests, ruins, and dungeons, with every journey offering a new chance to reach the fabled city.

• The Forbidden Land: Explore dark forests, sunken temples, sandy plains, and spider-infested crypts in a world created entirely by hand using the game's built-in editor.

• Ebbs and Flows: Resources are essential to your journey. Gather food from plants and animals, search vases and chests for supplies, and use potions to recover from injuries. Your inventory is limited, so choose carefully what to carry.

• Fight to Survive: Wild animals and evil monsters would like you as their next meal. Weapons differ in damage, energy consumption, and attack patterns, and wear down with use. Learn when to attack, when to recover your energy, and how to keep your equipment in good condition.

• The Right Tool: Learn the game's symbols through the on-screen Nearby list or explore its items, monsters, and objects in the built-in Codex. Charms provide lasting benefits, while bows, shields, and other tools offer additional ways to approach danger.

• A Moody Place: Get transported into the game's world through its haunting soundscapes and unique graphics, brought to life by the game's custom 3D engine.
