Willow Guard is a story-driven dark fantasy RPG combining difficult-but-rewarding action hack-n-slash gameplay enhanced by deck building and layers of deep choice-based story. Play as Ghweros, a Willowguard investigating a series of monster attacks on a remote village close to the northern Hinterlands. Discover a hand-crafted, original fantasy world full of uplifted animals, absent gods, and thousand years of buried secrets to unfold.

Isometric Action Gameplay

Build an action deck of specialized Willow Guard abilities that you activate as you battle through hordes of invading monsters in retro-inspired hack n' slash gameplay through lusciously rendered pixel art levels. Slash, dash and spell cast your way to victory over increasingly difficult foes across the campaign, or head into the Dungeon Run mode for some story-free instant fun.

Become a Willowguard

When not in combat, control Ghweros in his investigation of the village of Woikos and its secrets, by speaking to a diverse cast of characters. Use an innovative system of clue-and-item gathering to uncover new locations, characters and mysteries, and slowly unravel the story through fully-realized, choice based interactive fiction gameplay.

Build your Character

Willow Guard features non-traditional levelling, where you improve your character by improving your gear, stacking your deck with new abilities, and getting better at the game itself. In the story mode, your choices help shape what kind of Willowguard you are through the Inclination system. Regardless of how you choose to play, your choices will shape the ultimate fate of Woikos - and possibly the whole world!

Craft, Upgrade, Loot

Crafting cards and upgrading equipment requires materials, which are gathered from both killed monsters and found during dungeon runs, or gained as rewards from quests, or traded with the mysterious Merchant. Decide how to use your resources wisely, and build the perfect combination of equipment and deck to take on the evils that plague Tersa!
