The terrain system automatically chooses the correct tiles based on neighboring cells to produce natural, seamless transitions (4-corner auto-tiling workflow).

## Typical Workflow (Auto-tiling Focus)

- **Import terrain tiles** and pick a terrain type (grass/mud/road, etc.)

- Paint terrain with the **Brush Tool**: the editor automatically generates **edges, corners, and transitions** based on neighbors

- Use the **Fill Tool** to cover large areas quickly while keeping natural boundaries

- Fine-tune with **Eraser/Brush** for local edits; surrounding transitions update automatically

- Add props (decorations/interactables) and gameplay data (e.g., collision) on the appropriate layers
