The steamgifts.ru extension for Chrome: privacy policy

This is a translation for your convenience: if it differs from the Russian version of this page, the Russian version prevails.

• The steamgifts.ru extension for Steam top-ups and prices helps you compare Steam prices with steamgifts.ru prices and buy through steamgifts.ru without leaving Steam pages: it shows the steamgifts.ru price next to the “Add to Cart” button on game pages, shows a selection of games cheaper than on Steam on the store front page if you want it, and opens the Steam wallet top-up in the Chrome side panel with your login and region pre-filled.
• The selection on the Steam front page is off by default and is turned on in the extension settings. Every feature can be turned off there too; a disabled feature is not embedded in pages and sends no requests.
• The extension is published by the steamgifts.ru store. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve Corporation; Steam is a trademark of Valve Corporation.
• This policy covers the extension only. The side panel opens the steamgifts.ru site itself, which is covered by the site's Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

• Steam login, SteamID and Steam account country. These are taken from the data of the Steam store page you have open; if the login is still unknown when the top-up panel is opened, it is read once from the account page store.steampowered.com/account/. They are stored only in your browser (the extension's local storage). Why: to fill the login and region into the top-up form and to show prices for your account country. Your login reaches steamgifts.ru only when you submit the top-up form yourself.
• The product on the open Steam page. The ID of the game, edition or bundle is sent to steamgifts.ru together with the region code to show the store's price. The request is sent without cookies or account data.
• steamgifts.ru sign-in, nickname and balance. The extension checks whether you are signed in to steamgifts.ru (with the site's cookie in your browser) and shows your nickname and balance in the top-up button and in the panel. The nickname and balance are kept in browser session memory and erased when the session closes; sign-in tokens are not saved.
• Owned and hidden games, excluded tags and Steam content labels. Only if the selection is turned on: the extension requests them from Steam on the store page itself, so as not to offer what you already own or have hidden. This data is not sent anywhere or saved.
• Public Steam data. To check prices and show the selection, the extension requests prices and game details from Steam (Valve); the requests contain only game IDs and a country code, without cookies.
• Extension settings (which features are on) are kept in Chrome storage and synced across your devices if Chrome sync is on. The cache of prices and game details is kept in browser session memory.

• steamgifts.ru: the product ID and region code for prices; the sign-in check; the data of the top-up form that you submit yourself.
• Steam (Valve Corporation): game IDs and the country code in public requests for prices and game details.
• Nobody else. The extension does not sell data, does not transfer it to third parties, does not use it for advertising, profiling or creditworthiness assessment, and contains no analytics or counters. steamgifts.ru staff do not read the data stored in your browser.
• Like any web server, the steamgifts.ru server keeps technical request logs (IP address, time, request address) for security and troubleshooting; they are processed under the site's general Privacy Policy.

• The button for deleting saved data in the extension settings erases the login, SteamID, country and cache. Removing the extension erases everything it stored in the browser.
• Account data on steamgifts.ru is processed under the site's Privacy Policy; send deletion requests to support@steamgifts.ru.

• The use and transfer of data received by the extension comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
• We announce changes to this policy on this page and in the extension description. Questions: support@steamgifts.ru. Effective from October 23, 2026.
