Age of Mythology: Retold - Obsidian Mirror

Description

Lead the Aztecs. Claim power through sacrifice. Rewrite the rules of mythic warfare.

Raise an empire where belief is power and sacrifice fuels victory.

Obsidian Mirror introduces the Aztecs to Age of Mythology: Retold—a bold expansion that brings a new pantheon, inventive mechanics, and an epic myth‑driven campaign to the battlefield. Built for fans who love distinct civilizations, dramatic god powers, and high‑stakes strategy, Obsidian Mirror delivers a fresh way to play that feels unmistakably Age of Mythology—and unlike anything else in RTS.

A New Pantheon Rises, Three New Paths

Command the Aztecs under three powerful Major Gods, each offering a completely different approach to conquest:

• Quetzalcoatl, God of Wind, Arts & Wisdom
A wise priest‑king who rewards growth, culture, and mobility—ideal for players who value control and adaptability.

• Tezcatlipoca, God of Obsidian, Darkness & Sorcery
A master of chaos and deception, wielding illusion, fear, and underworld forces to break enemy plans apart.

• Huitzilopochtli, God of War & the Sun
A relentless war god who turns sacrifice into overwhelming strength, favoring bold aggression and decisive battles.

Choosing your god doesn’t just change bonuses—it reshapes your entire strategy.

New Gods, New Powers, New Ways to Win

Deepen your strategy with nine new Minor Gods, each bringing exclusive god powers, myth units, and techs:

• Call upon Itzpapalotl, the obsidian butterfly of death and magic

• Unleash Tlaloc, lord of rain and destruction

• Invoke Xolotl, whose corrupting influence twists enemies into monsters

Every choice reshapes how your civilization grows—and how your enemies fall.

Sacrifice Fuels Victory

Aztec power is built on Tonalli—the life essence released when units fall in battle.

• Fallen warriors generate divine Favor

• Sacrifice unlocks powerful god abilities

• Riskier decisions can create explosive momentum swings

New Fear and Illusion mechanics allow you to disrupt enemy armies, manipulate behavior, and win battles through strategy as much as strength.

A Mythic Campaign of Gods and Betrayal

Experience an all‑new 12‑mission campaign spanning continents and divine realms.

When the eternal rivalry between Quetzalcoatl and Tezcatlipoca shatters the utopian city of Aztlan, Huitzilopochtli seizes the moment—leading his people south in search of a new empire. Meanwhile, Tezcatlipoca escapes through his Obsidian Mirror, crossing continents and recruiting legendary allies to reclaim his dominance. Gods will clash. Alliances will fracture. The fate of an empire will be decided by blood, belief, and power.

A Bold Evolution of Age of Mythology

Obsidian Mirror pushes Age of Mythology: Retold forward with deeper systems, striking fantasy, and meaningful strategic choice.

• For longtime fans, it fulfills a long‑standing wish.

• For new players, it offers a powerful entry point into myth‑driven RTS combat.
