Description

Earth Simulator is a god game where anything is possible! Create continents, change the climate, the winds and the ocean currents, settle the world with people — and watch the first cities and nations grow out of tribes. Follow humanity's progress in your world and change its history — or walk the cities in first person, talk to every inhabitant and join the wars!

Build a planet from scratch or start with the real Earth, built from real elevation and climate data. Raise islands from the sea and mountain ranges with a brush, steer the winds and ocean currents, change the strength of the sun and the level of CO₂.

Help civilizations — send rain, blessings and inspiration — or put them to the test: volcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, meteors, plagues and droughts are always at hand.

Every change sets off a chain of consequences. Move the mountains and the winds carry the rain elsewhere: forests give way to steppe, and steppe to desert. Melt the polar caps and the sea will flood the coastal cities.

More than 35 animal species form food chains: grazers roam after pasture, predators hunt them, people hunt and tame animals. Wipe out the grazers and the predators will have nothing left to eat.

Guide humanity through eight eras and more than 50 discoveries — from the first campfire to spaceships. Tribes become nations, villages become cities, and cities change their look as the eras go by.

Peoples name their own lands and seas, keep their culture and faith, form alliances and wage wars, carry out reforms and live through revolutions. Every nation has a ruler, and every ruler a dynasty you can follow through the family tree for generations. The chronicle and detailed statistics remember everything.

Tired of being all-powerful? Step down anywhere on land and you'll find yourself on the streets of whatever era that nation has reached. You see exactly what it knows: where nobody tamed the horse, people ride camels and oxen; before the wheel there are no carts; weapons arrive with their own discoveries.

Talk to the locals, trade, take on quests, work at the docks, on the railway or as an airship captain. Or break the law — and run from the police before your wanted level hits five stars.

Transport of every era: riders and caravans, carts and cars, steam engines and maglev trains, sailing ships and container ships, airships, planes, helicopters and the tanks of military bases — and you can take any of them for a ride yourself.

Wars on the map are more than numbers in a table. Fleets clash in naval battles, armies meet at the borders — and you can walk into any battle: knights and crossbowmen, muskets and broadsides, tanks and rocket launchers. Missile and nuclear strikes leave ruins, radiation and nuclear winter behind.
