Description

The mainland's factories are hungry for coal, iron ore and other minerals, the old mines are exhausted and can no longer keep up. A union of industrialists has chartered a ship and financed an expedition to a frozen coast. The goal is to find new deposits, set up mining and ship the minerals back to the mainland. You start with nothing but a port, a single boiler house and the last coal in the warehouse...

The Board Is Watching

Send geologists into the unknown, zone by zone, and find the deposits the mainland is waiting for. The Board expects steady progress and will remind you when exploration stalls. Each contract comes with its own terms, and the Board keeps count.

Keep the Fires Burning

Every town that grows on this coast gets its own boiler house, and every boiler needs coal before time runs out. If the fire goes out, the cold takes the town and factories with warehouses freeze and are lost for good.
