System Clues

Description

You found a laptop.

The screen lights up — NexusCore Technologies, a polished tech giant, waiting for its newest hire. As you log in, a hidden investigation unfolds.

Chapter 1: First Day Your first month at NexusCore. The Prometheus AI system quietly surveils every employee — performance reviews, behavioral profiling, emotion tracking. You discover the system isn't just watching workers. It's watching you.

Chapter 2: After the Trend A cheating scandal video blows up on Pulse. What looks like a normal internet moment conceals an MCN agency's orchestrated media machine. You dig deeper and find every "trend" is scripted.

Chapter 3: Riders & Algorithms A food delivery platform's scheduling algorithm compresses riders' time to the breaking point. An 8-minute "death route" hides behind the company's optimization claims. Expose it, trade on it, or stay silent?

Chapter 4: The Missing Driver Rideshare driver Leo Zhou goes missing for days. The platform rules it a "driver detour," but dashcam audio, GPS traces, and insurance records tell another story — a covered-up accident and a blame-game machine.

Chapter 5: The Anonymous Network An underground group called "The Nest" is organizing a coordinated intrusion. As your investigation touches its core, you realize you're no longer just an observer — you're part of someone else's plan.

Key Features

• Immersive desktop OS: Windows 11-style desktop with multi-window management, taskbar, and theme switching — move freely between mail, chat, browser, terminal, and evidence boards.

• Realistic terminal experience: Rich command-line tools with session mode, combo techniques, and phased unlocks; failures leave traces, raise exposure, and can trigger account locks or blue screens.

• Five standalone cases: From corporate surveillance to media manipulation, algorithmic exploitation to accident cover-ups, and darknet infiltration — each chapter is a complete investigation story linked by hidden narrative threads.

• Multi-source investigation: emails, chats, intranet browser, social feeds, news, and an evidence board — clues are scattered everywhere, and evidence completeness gates which endings you can unlock.

• Pressure & countermeasures: stress levels, multi-tier surveillance, an AI defender, and counter-hack alerts — every aggressive move has a cost.

• Rich ending variants: Dozens of endings including hidden endings and moral variants (paragon / neutral / renegade); your choices determine whether you're a whistleblower, witness, accomplice, or someone who walks away.
