Veterans: Napoleonic Wars

Description

Take command on the battlefields of the Napoleonic era. In Veterans: Napoleonic Wars, thousands of soldiers await your orders, with no base building to distract you from the fight. The smell of gunpowder fills the air, drums beat, and regiments form up. Are you ready to lead?

Command battles on a grand scale

Fight battles drawn from Napoleon’s greatest campaigns, from Italy and Egypt to Austerlitz, Wagram and beyond, in a grounded single-player experience. Command thousands of soldiers and dozens of battalions on screen at once.

Put tactics first

Focus on real-time battlefield tactics without base building. React to enemy movements, flanking maneuvers, and sudden cavalry breakthroughs. Fire at will. When ammunition runs out or your line falters, commit your troops to a desperate, high-stakes melee attack.

Master battlefield formations

Command large forces of infantry, cavalry, and artillery in real time. How your troops move, fire, and hold their ground matters. Use historically accurate line, column, and square formations to shape the battle.

Keep your troops fighting

Your soldiers are your greatest resource. Keep them alive to build an army of veterans capable of changing history. Choose the right units: cuirassiers to break enemy lines, or agile light infantry to harass the enemy from woodland cover. Morale, fatigue, and line of sight directly affect combat outcomes.

Adapt to a changing battlefield

Fight across varied landscapes in rain and sunshine, and through muddy terrain. Every cannon shot adds smoke, changing visibility and the intensity of combat. Follow the course of battle as weather, smoke, and the fog of war shape what you can see, and be ready to act.

Develop and customize your army

Customize your armies and develop veteran units throughout your campaigns. Troops gain experience from each battle they survive, while today's losses carry over into the next engagement. Field authentic artillery and show your allegiance with uniforms from the Napoleonic era.
